Wow old thread, I hope everyone is doing wel, but here it goes, I stay in Centurion Die Hoewes, and I can t seem to get my Telkom LTE speeds up, I have a ponyting attenna xpol 0006 and the speed with out attenna is 20-25 mbps and with the attenna and I cant seem find a tower, and speeds drop to very low. I use opensignal to see where the towers are and yet no luck, anyone in the Die Hoewes area manage to figure out how to least get up to 50mbps. As you can see there are a few towers, how high should i go, I stay the die hoewes self catering on the image.

With the XPOL-006 I use the 5m cable and not the 10m cable to reduce losses. Also, the only way to know what tower to use is to search for it yourself.

What are your signal strengths?

Did you change the antenna setting to external on the router when using the poynting antenna?
btw what app are you using for the Tower sites?

Does Telkom not have a Cell_ID and address spreadsheet to make tower alignment easier.

Does anyone have any idea how to identify the tower ID against what the B315 is picking up under the "cell id". I have searched high and low and cannot locate this information yet. I know exactly where the tower is in my area and i am point directly to it, but it cannot find the tower listed on any of the maps?

Super surprised this morning at home in Rome Glen, Somerset West, Western Cape:



This is with the Poynting XPOL-0006 pointing at the Telkom tower about 1km away. (I usually get between 30 and 80 Mbit/s down)

(BTW Telkom, kudos for a great product!)
