Current speeds still very good but latency dropped to about half of previous, any idea why guys or how to improve?

Experiencing some lag in games which is quite irritating.

Will a outdoor antenna help with improving latency?

I am not getting anywhere near the speeds you folks are receiving.. probably cause my area hasn't been upgraded.

So my latest speed test saw this happen:

In all seriousness, I didn't know these things could catch fire. Google has plenty images of burning towers. Scary stuff!

RSSI/RSRP/RSRQ = -38/-64/-6; Ping/DL/UL=21ms/90.60Mbps/8.70Mbps

Area: Faerie Glen, Pretoria East (about 4km east of Menlyn Park shopping mall)
Device: Huawei B593s-601 LTE modem/router
Antenna system: None (using internal patch antennas in B593)
Distance to station: Approx 100m
Connection mode : Forced 4G
Network Operator: Telkom Mobile (PLMN = 65502)
Service Provider: Telkom Internet
Signal parameters: RSSI=-38dBm, RSRP=-64dBm, RSRQ=-6dB
Date of test: Sunday 15 March 2015 @ 16:26
Result:

This reading was taken while "tower prospecting" round my area. Some might say it's an artificial result, but for the flat-dwellers and shopowners in the centre behind me, this is 100% achievable with no special equipment.

Jcheek I am now curious to know what you're using to power the router. If it's USB cable or power bank

Actually neither - I'm using a small "camping" inverter (12VDC to 230VAC) like the one pictured in this post. Thereafter I'm just using the B593's normal AC adapter.
It's kinda kludgy, I guess, but it works well and gives plenty of cable slack.
