Telkom Mobile roaming on Vodacom

I'm using my Telkom Sim and telkom dual Sim Huawei, together with a Vodacom Sim that I mostly used for calls.

(Bare in mind that 3 other people who live in the same area all have Telkom sims and Telkom devices which work fine).

I have no data connection when using my telkom Sim. I wonder if I am allowed to cancel my contract if I cannot use the service that they provide, with their Sim card on their device?
 
Looks like Telkom R is down. At least in my area.
 
It's an absolute **** show this. Anyone come right with cancellation. I am more than happy paying for the phone portion fee for the remaining months and because the service is very broken I don't think it fair to be paying for any of it going forward

Haven't done the cancellation yet but when I enquire about the cost it was R800 cancellation fee plus the remainder of the monthly device fee.

Just a thought with them changing Roaming partners have you not perhaps become uncovered where as you would be covered previously under Telkom-MTN roaming..
 
A friend of mine (Huawei P20 Lite) struggles with Telkom-R, phone selects it over Telkom's own towers but I don't (Redmi Note 2) and I'm sitting next to him. I'm on Telkom's network almost all the time except when I'm in a badly covered area. Plus I can use Telkom Only data on Telkom-R but he can't. Lol absolute madness.
 
So in summary:
- 2G doesn't work (can connect to VodacomSA but no data)
- 3G/LTE aka Telkom-R randomly connects and disconnects as it's not seen properly as Roaming - so most devices will connect even if roaming is off. This means Telkom data packages aren't used etc.
- In general, calls and battery life destroyed all over the country

@rpm please can we have a follow up.
With CellC falling apart and Telkom Roaming screwed up. How long before we get price rises from MTN and Vodacom!

Fully broken in KZN - call someone who is roaming on Vodacom and it says number does not exist.

Welcome to my world for past 2 months.

Only way for me to fix it is to manually roam directly on vodacom and not on TelkomSA-R.
