Yes WAKE UP and stop being a monopoly and charging ridiculous line rentals
That's a start.
Unfortunately Telkom operates with Paperwork Fairy Land, so the top doesn't know what the bottom is doing.

Wow, the CEO is really talkative.

People leave because it is expensive....why would you go and get ADSL if you going to use under 10GB...when you can get that 10GB for cheaper and faster, than renting an ADSL Line + the forced Telephone line (both which are not cheap).
 
why dont we like Telkom? bad service, pricing, unneccesary analogue voice subsc when u only need ADSL.
And if u gonna impliment racist policies, thats also not gonna help... we really want to move away from racism and racist policies...
 
How gratifying to hear a CEO who really gets this. I hope he runs for Premier

I really support unions curbing the abuse of employers but Maseko sums it up here - the irony is that if Telkom had enough internal cohesion and less polarity, they could curb grow the customer base and develop enough new business to curb job losses

Embark on LLU properly - continue with the good start (even if it has since stalled) made at the LLU Workshop earlier this year

Stop stupid centralism for centralism's sake
Cancel the cheques to Bain (write them out to MyBB ...)
Form proper broadband partnerships
 
One of the major problems with state utilities is that they see themselves as employment and upliftment institutions. That way you end up with thousands of useless employees who manage only themselves.

Lots and lots of fish being distributed, but no fishermen created.

Goes without saying that the culture of retrenchments based on nonsense is a problem in SA as is our general about market
not sure Telkom are the entity to be woken here - it would help - especially because there isn't a real case that Telkom is any more guilty than any other large corporate entity

I know of several buddy.
I saw them all get new BMW and Mercs in Feb this year... all I got was a slap-in-the-face 6%
