Telkom’s residential clients will always get last priority as Telkom makes the bulk of their profits on the corporate side. That’s why the strike isn’t really a train smash for them.

I thought the bulk of their income came from backhaul connectivity for other networks and international connectivity?

ps. True, they don't care for the residential clients, but do they really care about anything?

You guys are right on the money. Just wanted to remind you that Telkom also get billions from the sat-3 fibre monopoly which they own. Their fibre company sells internet to east africa at 50 times the standard international norms. They are thick in the money

Most of Telkom's fixed line revenue is from traffic (calls) - R15 billion.
Then comes Data - R9 billion (of which backhaul links to mobile is R1,8 billion).
