Was just about to post this too my 450gig deal disappeard a few days ago now there are these new bundles social bundles of which WhatsApp was the only excluded social network on the bundle

And as for the 150 Rand's 100 gig night surfer I don't know I will have to think about it seems like an okay deal' but you will have to be on the smart broadband tarrif
 
Had me worried there for a second, I see I still have mine. Use it a lot, last night downloaded X Plane which is 50Gb and 140Gb of scenery thanks to it working on LTE.
 
I also have mine on 2 of my simcards. Speeds are still okay...

How does this night surfer thing works. I also saw this on my telkom app, and that 100gig for R149 is a nice deal. What are the starting and ending time you can use it. And do you thing i can use my cellphone as a hot spot and download my Steam updates with it?

Try *123# first if is not there "450GB for R59" try *180#

I think it's 00:01 to 06:59, your phone will work fine as a hotspot. It's best to keep your phone on charges as your battery won't last.

Theoretically from midnight to 7am however start times seem to vary - up to around 45 minutes late. In these cases your night surfer shuts down later.
 
thanks for the reply. I bought the 100GB for R149. I notice that it use my all network data and not the night surfer data. So something must be wrong then.

Any one else has the same problem. The telkom app shows i have 100GB

Try blocking Telkom SA-R via *180# option 10

Do as Joseph said. Also reboot your device at 00:01 just to be sure the data being used is switched.
 
Thanks guys. I just read the post and will try tonight again. What i do notice last night, no night surfer was active and could not use that at all.

SO will try blocking that option and then reboot the phone again.
 
i also bought the 100gig for R149 but the speed is very slow 200kb/s i don't know why. when i use my LTE data all is fine.
 
I also notice that. Any time data runs around 20MB/s, when it comes to night time, then around 200 to 100KB/s. I have 89Gigs left and i am not sure how i am going to use all of it. And i first need to use my all time data again, before i can use the Night time.

I noticed that from 1am-5am my speed is around 1.1 to 1.2MB/s for me atleast.
 
Well I managed to download 249GB between midnight and 7am in just one night using the R59 for 450GB night surfer Mo Nice deal.

Solid performance. Constantly more than 100Mbps.
 
wow guys, i did not know about this bundles of 450GB and 100GB, they hide them so well
 
Are people still getting the 60 for 450gb price? I thought the people that had it stopped getting it?
