Telkom/SAIX at it again...

It's 1:28AM (June 1st) now and my ADSL remains on the same capped IP, no matter how many times I disconnect and reconnect. This is completely unacceptable as it is clearly past midnight on the 1st of the month, so I phoned SAIX to see what their answer was. Lo and behold they effectively told me that they have the most useless system in the world, as, according to them, the uncapping window is between 12 and 8 AM on the first.

Now just a minute here, do you mean to tell me that every time I login it doesn't just check the time? Do you seriously mean to tell me that it's going to take 8 hours just to uncap me? I'm sorry, but this is pathetic. I want to use my ADSL now, I don't want to have to wait for SAIX to move its sorry ass and uncap me.
 
Well, so much for 8AM, I eventually only got uncapped at 8:40AM. What kind of half-assed service is this!?
 
Well... it's the Telkom kind of service. I have no faith in any Telkom implementation so its no suprise to me when something doesnt work correctly and I agree, it is pathetic.
 
Telkom has had a great month, I would plobably be complaining but they have not updated my usage in the past 5 days. Go telkom.

Don't think that just because your usage monitor doesn't display your usage that Telkom isn't keeping track. The usage site is notoriously useless when it comes to actually displaying what your bandwidth usage has been.
