TELKOM SUCKS !!!

so glad neotell came into the picture !! hope they get their act together

telkom is a bunch of unprofessional $$#@$#@ !!!!

i applied for adsl and was told no infra structure in my area and that they
could give me the 3g option.

did the application and called this morning to follow up

eish, sorry sir we do not have 3g in you area !!! why not tell me this
when i did the application

best of all, on the coverage map on the telkom website my street is smack
bang in die middel of a blue coverage area.

i thought might be a retard telephone operator but called back just to get
the same answer again.

on top of that, i stay in samrand not even a km from the N1 !!!!!! next to midrand, right in between pretoria and johannesburg, surely with all the houses and businesses around telkom should have the infrastructure for both !!!!!! its not as if im staying on a farm !!!
 
I had same problem. I had perfect coverage on the map. I went through all the hassel to order the SIM, pick it up, etc only to find out that I do not have coverage. Then I had to go through the hassel to cancel the service.

On top of that, I ordered ADSL three years ago, still have not got it :(

they told me adsl ports were available
Then i signed up now i have a line no adsl cause no ports
 
Telkom sucks and blows at the same time, like a giant vacuum cleaner, sucking all my bucks all the time - I think Telkom Sucks
 
Steps to get broadband:
1. Apply for adsl
If that fails,
2. Apply for WiMax
If that fails,
3. Depending on your needs -
Gamers / Higher-capacity users: iBurst
Low capacity, high speed: Vodacom3G/HSDPA
If all above fails, try find a WISP in your area, perhaps?

My advice is that you visit a Telkom Direct Shop and point it out to them.
