Again Fourways & Lonehill is somehow ignored. No fibre, no ADSL and now no fking LTE or LTE-A ... :wtf: :(

Considering all the clusters and complexes around here almost filled to the brim including development further down William Nicol with a bloody landmark casino and high cost property it'd be a pretty obvious area.

They want you to pay standard prices. I have LTE in my area but it isn't listed cause the base station is generating enough income to cover cost.

Basically they selling services on dormant towers that don't generate enough income to cover cost.

Yeah :/ I guess you are right. I have 10+10 gig LTE on Afrihost Mobile MTN but its not great and costs quite a bit. And no fibre or copper infrastructure nearby either :(

I know how you feel dude. Have you looked at Neotel LTE offering. Back in the day afrihost was affordable with 10 gig for R200 now they have become overpriced.

I am strongly considering it. Stopped by their shop just the other day to enquire. Somewhat pricy at R900-R1000 for a 4mb uncapped if I recall but it may be the only option for a decent amount of data and speed. I'm just nervous about true performance before I sign up.

I dont believe Telkom Uncapped Lte. North mead only has 15 spots available in total 5 for every deal. Others have the same. Probably the developer forgot to add 50. More areas are being added.

They trying to market their uncapped lte offering. Let's see how fast it sells out.

I am in Pta, but only offered in selected Jhb suburbs! That sucks, as I was tempted to go for the deal... Wake up TELKOM! We want uncapped LTE in PTA too. I don't care about the profitability of the base stations. You should have stated that large and clear when you advertised the deal!

The question is what happens if you decide to move out of the area?

What if you live right outside of the area that's supported. I live in Glenhazel but when I check my street it falls outside of the turquoise. Will it still work?

@Looney, I have Telkom LTE, but can't get uncapped as that is only for selected Jhb suburbs. That is what is ticking me off slightly.

Yes, but the deal is only for SELECTED surburbs of JHB.

I'm in Mindrand yet can't apply.

They advertised this deal on the Sunday times. If i was in their footsteps wouldn't have spent marketing budget unnecessar.. I know of a few people who wanted to sign up for this deal and were so disapponted.

Alternatively signup for Telkom ADSL Simple or Telkom Simple plus includes landline rental , dsl rental + ISP. R399 for 2 meg and R499 4 meg or take up the 10 meg offer for R699 Do premium.

Making a call from telkom mobile to their call centre Isn't charged.

PS if you don't like the contract term insist you don't require hardware - it can be month to month.
