Telkom Uncapped & Usage "Fair" Policy

Hey guys,

Been moving around a lot but decided to settle lately and focus on the finer things in life. I decided to finally get serious and get me an ADLS connection. So I called up Telkom and they promised:
- A free installation
- A modem
- A 8ta USB modem with 200MB (to add to my existing 10GB modem - R199). No idea what I am going to do with 200MB
- Oh, and a FREE ADSL modem for R500 and something...

So I was like - EFF it, what the hell? Yeah... And I told them to hit me. (Still waiting - 3 days in to the approved order). Anyways I asked about their "Fair Usage" policy during the application... And the sales rep couldn't help it.


Err, anyone out there what their "fair usage policy" is or if I may have to look at another ISP??
And the other thing is the bloody thing is a 1MBPS line - I thought those didn't exist anymore...

I used to have 1mbps line back in the days... Before I started moving around like a headless chicken and I thought everyone would be on 2mbps by now. Arrrgh!!!

The 1mb is being phased out..so im guessing that package will be a 2mb..as for the fair use policy, go to telkomsa.net im sure ul find it there..or halla @telkomza and they will send u a pdf as they did to me..

Telkom are pretty good with their fair use policy. My cousin downloads 247 and doesn't have any problems.
1Mb will only be upgraded in Jan or Feb.

I would not worry about it as there are no issues as far as I'm concerned.

I've yet to be impacted by their FUP and we stream at least 6 hours a day as well as fairly heavy downloading.
