Regarding the uncapped packages!

Do not cancel your Telkom accounts JUST YET - be patient, Telkom is going to join the party very soon, I've had multiple Telkom contacts tell me the same thing.

If you don't mind paying penalty fees and pro-rata charges (like I did to join MWEB) then it's another story, but if you strapped for cash (generally) then just keep using your Telkom account, be patient and when Telkom upgrade you to the uncapped packages they are sure to bring out, then you won't have to pay any pro-rata charges or penalties.

I'm posting this because quite a few of my friends have called me asking for this and it was my advice.

I'm practising what I preach because I have not cancelled my Telkom 5GB package yet. ;)
 
Sorry gdiza but until someone from Telkom comes on and says something "official" this is vapourware.
 
Yea, this is a rather weak attempt to keep people paying Telkom ISP for overpriced R65 p/GB pricing , while Telkom figure out wtf just hit them in the face. Telkom is caught with their pants down and obviously they'd like all us SUCKERS to keep paying them.

You very well might wait MONTHS for anything from Telkom.

There's no penalty fee with cancelling/signing up with Telkom ISP anyway. So no idea where that BS comes from.

The LINE is another story, but that has nothing to do with uncapped/data pricing.


Now i'm not saying Telkom might not come up with a better deal, i'm just saying they will take longer if we all just keep paying them inflated prices....

Well I have to cancel some of my capped accounts, or else I will end up with 3 uncapped accounts :D
 
Oh please, Telkom only know how to screw over customers not how to give them uncapped internet.

I am. But if you can give me solid evidence why I should keep telkom as my ISP then I might change my thoughts. Until then I'll be canceling my account and going with MWEB. Telkom have raped me long enough.

How am I off topic. You are telling us that we should keep our Telkom accounts because they are going to give us better offers, I am disputing your claim on the bases of no proof.

I haven't gone to MWEB yet, only at end of month, but if Afrihost is better I'll got to 'em instead. Telkom can kiss my ...... goodbye unless they get better packages. But we'll see Malema apologize for being a racist prig before that happens.
 
you will be charged if you cancel your contract with telkom before it expires.
