Telkom versus Neotel

Neotel reduced its rates after March 2011 interconnect rate cuts. Telkom is hanging on to their previous prices. This is how their current rates compare

Has the quality of Calls improved for Neotel. Last i checked it would drop randomly and was often unclear.

If only Neotel would realise that we are a country with one of the highest cellphone penetration rates in the world. We don't care about fixed line telephony, we want fixed line broadband. A business would get the supreme option from Telkom which offers free calls anyway.

Haven't had any problems with Neotel's call quality on the Huawei portable handset device we have at the office. It works pretty well and signal strength is great.

Telkom is a fossilised dinoaur still lumbering about on the crater pockmarked landscape of South Africa.
Their prices are not only out of touch with the rest of the world, but even within South Africa are seriously outdated.

Hello Wyzak why not kill two birds with one stone

um, which stone would that be? Cos Neotel has done diddly squat for fixed line broadband penetration in South Africa.
In fact they have done nothing on the wireless side either.

+1

Telkom trying to screw us till the very end. 8ta

With Neotel openly stating that they have no expansion plans, and further stating that they are not going to be fulfilling their mandate to provide fixed line services, this is a rather pointless comparison.

why do these rates, which are targeted at consumers, exclude VAT? personally it would be so much better to see the cost incl. VAT.

At least Neotel is fighting on some front here. Competition is always a good thing.
