Hopefully someone here can advise me on who to contact about my slow LTE speed. I know to contact Telkom support is an absolute waist of time. I was forced to change to LTE after my ADSL line went down and Telkom said they were not going to repair it, I have to change to LTE. I have a HUAWEI-B315-1650 router which I have been using on and off over the last 2 years when my ADSL line was down and up until about 6 months ago, I used to get over 20 Mbps speed but the last couple of months, I'm lucky if I get more than 1 Mbps, especially in the evenings. I live in Pietermaritzburg and when I test the same router at a friends house in Hilton about 15 KM from where I live, I get over 60 Mbps.
I assume it is due to Telkom having too many LTE subscribers in my area and I have heard that Cell C is busy cancelling all LTE contracts with service providers and most of those service providers are changing to Telkom which means the Telkom network is going to be under even more pressure which means even slower speed for us excising Tekom LTE customers. Is there anything I can do to get more speed apart from moving house to an area with better speed? There is no fiber optic coverage in my area as yet.

Wow 60 Mbps ?
I live in Hilton and am served with a choice of both towers and I never see above 20 Mbps on Telkom's 2300 mhz on my B525.
I used to get 70 Mbps but since 12th July everything died.
I get RSRP: -66 dBm from the small tower and -80 dBm from the main tower by the old station although I do have a poynting Xpol-6-10m antenna.

I took my old B315 to a friends house in Cleland a while ago and we struggled to get 5 Mbps.
