They have to increase their revenue streams after the sale of Vodacom because they will no longer get such a big dividend.

But they still haven't realised that the best way to increase revenue and their customer base would be provide a real broadband service instead of their 'fast' 384k and 'faster' 512k services which by world standards is slower than snails pace .

They still have the audacity to advertise their poor excuses for services in the financial pages as being the best and most stable in SA as verified by an independent agency.

Hopefully Telkom can stop sitting on their brains now and actually do something constructive in the market. But I'm not holding my breath on that one.

That means driving up broadband penetration by reducing costs, extending network coverage and improving customer service — a tall order for a company that in many respects still behaves like a state-owned utility.

And yet, other muppets are saying that more companies should become state owned, when there's proof that a company, still acting like it was state owned, is going the crapper.
