Had a new phone line activated (we already had the lines in our apartment) 31/03/2011, then ordered a dsl line as soon as the phone line was working.
2 days later, the phone line is DEAD! Logged the fault on Monday 04/04/2011.
Then Tuesday 05/04/2011, get an sms saying the dsl is active. Weird, since our phone line is dead!
Naturally, get home and check the router to see if it works, of course, it DOESN'T.
Log another fault, only to get told one has been logged already.
Phone daily to bother them to find out when a tech is supposed to fix this crap.
Yesterday, 08/04/2011, the daily phone call to Telkom, only to get told 'Oh yes, a tech was dispatched in the morning to fix the line'. But no-one's home, hello, full-time jobs anyone?'
The continue to say that the tech should phone to let us know if the problem lay outside at the telkom box in the complex, or inside with us. Of course, no phone call.
And of course, by the time we get home from work last night, there is NO PHONE AND NO INTERNET.
WHAT THE HELL!?!? Can anyone tell me what number I'm suppoed to phone to sort this out? Cos amazingly they suddenly can't tell us diddly squat, yet when ordering the line in the first place, they could tell us when a tech is coming.
And what, I'm going to get charged for a service that doesn't even work? (That usual old '7 days after the sms we start charging you').
HELP!!
