So I heard they charge you per GB after 10GB in the 1GB option:mad: (supposed to be free)

So whats the limit for a:

2GB and 3GB?

Is it 30GB free local then thereafter R20/GB?

Keyword being "apparently". Telkom sees it fit not to inform it's users of the specifics regarding the service they pay for. Great idea amirite.

You sound like the Telkom bafoons to be honest, lulz.

I'm guessing he's downloading media, you know, the thing ADSL is meant and used for everywhere else in the world.

Anyway, I'm only at like 4GB local now on a 2GB account. Never really bothered with newsgroup downloads till I realized I can get way more done (downloads wise anyway) capped than uncapped so meh.

We'll see I guess, and when we do - I do believe a sticky on the matter would be nice. Question has been popping up a lot.
 
Guys I just spoke to a sale consultant to find out what is the benifits of having a 1GB account with telkom and the lady told me all the usual stuff and told me that when you are capped that you could download and browse for local site and that there is no limit. So I told here if telkom send me a bill for me using it I can refuse to pay it and she said yes.
So I called again and obviously it another person speaking and he told me exactly the same thing. He told me that a lot of roumers going around about this. He told me it is no a premotion or anything like that and that acording to his system telkom has implemented it now permanently! So that is good enought reason for me why I should buy a 1GB telkom account for R79!

40gb international I could understand. But 40gb local, I could not even use 500mb local.
 
I download as much (30Gb's+ on a 1Gb account) and I download for the sake of making use of what I download! As long as I can get my moneys worth from TK, why the hell not!
 
Its uncapped local atm, see my prev post in the last telkom uncapped topic you started, they advise to ignore local usage as tracker is in testing phase, so dl dl dl till they notify its not uncapped any more.
