Do you blame them with the weather we've been having in GP ... its all clouds, everywhere, all the time.I just love the way people are throwing around cloud this cloud that to be "in" and hip.![]()
Well, its probably closer aligned with this article ... http://mybroadband.co.za/news/ADSL/11311.html ... ADSL IP Stream. Is this not a re-wording of the article about the 8mbps and 12mps trials that telkom was looking to roll out?

"This will be a point-to-cloud service which will provide guaranteed speeds through the ‘IP-cloud’." I just love the way people are throwing around cloud this cloud that to be "in" and hip.![]()

The 'cloud' in both cases would be your ISP of choice. For broadband application (IP Stream) the layer 2 virtual pipe (over ADSL) from the customer's router would be cross connected to the ISPs Internet access capacity in their datacentre.
For point to point application (Etherlink) the layer 2 virtual pipes (over SHDSL) from 2 sites would be cross connected to each other in the ISPs datacenter (either at Ethernet or IP layer).
