Terror attack outside U.K. Parliament

I don't think that's all of them...

The real interesting thing is why Al Jazeera doesn't send their Facebook accounts to the CIA. Surely people who applaud terrorism should at least be made aware to intelligence agencies for being at risk of terrorism?

You are quite right. Denial is an option, of course.

So, we must choose between accepting terror is part and parcel of modern city life, or lapse into denial.

I can see other options. Scary that you can't.

What are the other options you see?
Once you've educated me you don't need to be scared anymore!

PM: Attacker 'was British born'

Speaking in the House of Commons, May said the identity of the attacker is known to MI5.

"His identity is known to the police and MI5 and when operational considerations allow, he will be publicly identified," she said.

"What I can confirm is that the man was British born and that some years ago he was once investigated by MI5 in relation to concerns about violent extremism.

"He was a peripheral figure. The case is historic. He was not part of the current intelligence picture.

"There was no prior intelligence of his intent or of the plot."

Thats not what he said, weird how you cant read all of a sudden.

Btw here is what he had to say on the latest attacks

London Mayor Sadiq Khan said: "My message to those that want to harm us and destroy our way of life is: You won't succeed; you won't divide us; we won't be cowed by terrorists."

This is apropros of almost nothing, but I was watching this news break on Bloomberg yesterday afternoon.

The UK-side reporting was all low, modulated voices almost sitting back and sipping their tea, while the US-side host was screeching like a banshee.

It's far easier to get a rise out of an American than a Brit.

You are not reading right.

1. Sadiq said that threat of terror is part and parcel of life in large cities.
2. C4Cat says [either accept that] or be in denial.
3. I say to C4Cat that 1 or 2 are not the only alternatives.

Read again and understand.

4. But Arthur still can't tell me what the other alternatives are...

I can but haven't. All it takes is a little imagination and a bit of boldness. Neither of which the current hegemons have.

uh huh... Arthur still can't tell me what the other alternatives are...

Only now he's pretending he knows but just doesn't want to say.
