Terror attack outside U.K. Parliament

Early reports (unconfirmed) suggest the attacker was a British born muslim named Abu Izzadeen.
This is the trend. 2nd generation refugee/immigrant who grew up confused because of the cultural differences.

I still catching up don't know if anything changed jet.

The terrorist in the picture looks much younger than the Abu Izzadeen guy. That could be anyone with a beard. Also since when do these terrorist leaders partake in suicide missions, they leave the dumb shiit to the young and impressionable.

Demz fightin' words, Sadiq! Just the thing Londoners need to hear! In the spirit of Winston during Mr H's blitz!

/shakes head after retrieving jaw from floor

I wouldn't be surprised voters hand Khan his backside so it can join his foot in pie-hole. Wottawuss.

Arthur, I think that statement was taken out of context. See one of the previous posts.

Apparently he acted alone yet seven arrests were made. Does not compute.

Police have searched six addresses in Birmingham, London and other parts of the country, and made seven arrests.

They believe this attacker “acted alone and inspired by international terrorism”.

And what exactly is "international terrorism" ?

The PC police are really trying to avoid a certain word beginning with 'I'.

Alone = the attack was not commandeered by ISIS or another group.

Inspired = the attacker was inspired by what happened in France, Belgium, Germany...

International terrorism: MI5 definition there https://www.mi5.gov.uk/international-terrorism

The arrests are probably linked to people around him who are radicalized and might be inspired by him or are preparing something as well but were not aware or involved in the preparation of this attack.

Parliament is open for business this morning as usual and Londoners are streaming to work.

For the dear liberals...

Islam cannot co-exist with other religions that's what it comes down too.

Unfortunately in recent times it's more like Islam can't even co-exist with itself, the Islamists seem to hate other Muslims as much as they hate the rest of the world.

I was referring to Sadiq Khan's statement in the context of the latest muslim attack in London. Which context are you referring to?

His statement you refer to was made last year, and has been taken out of context.

Sadiq Khan: London mayor says terror attacks 'part and parcel' of living in a major city
Labour politician says capitals 'have got to be prepared' for attacks like New York bombing

Thursday 22 September 2016

Sadiq Khan has said he believes the threat of terror attacks are “part and parcel of living in a big city” and encouraged Londoners to be vigilant to combat dangers.

The Mayor of London revealed he had a “sleepless night” after the recent bombing in New York, and said major cities around the world “have got to be prepared for these sorts of things” to happen when people least expect them.

“That means being vigilant, having a police force that is in touch with communities, it means the security services being ready, but it also means exchanging ideas and best practice”, Mr Khan told the Evening Standard shortly before a meeting with New York mayor Bill de Blasio.

“Nothing is more important to me than keeping Londoners safe,” Mr Khan said at the time. “I want to be reassured that every single agency and individual involved in protecting our city has the resources and expertise they need to respond in the event that London is attacked.”

“The terrorists are evolving their tactics and we have got to evolve our response to them all the time. I am afraid the consequences of a terror attack are very very scary. They want to kill. They want to maim and terrify. It is my job to try to make sure that we are as safe as we can be.”

OK thanks. Good to know.

Relieved he sees the threat of terror attacks as part and parcel of living in a big city. We just need to adjust our expectations.

Got it.
