Texting while driving, this has to stop

I'm not reading this whole thread but all I can say...can everyone just bloody stop texting while driving. If you absolutely have to look at and reply to a message, do it at the traffic light. I know it's still illegal but at least you're not moving and you can't wipe innocent people out.

I used to text and drive until one day I looked up and suddenly traffic had just stopped in front of me. Panic brake, off the road and nearly shat myself. I was so upset with myself after that that I have a strict rule about txting and driving. Just don't do it. If it's urgent I will be called and I have bluetooth for that.

The unfortunate truth is that we only learn the lesson when something goes wrong. This lady, while I sympathise with her will think twice about texting and driving and hopefully won't add to our road statistics.
 
Quite simple really. It doesn't matter if all of you text and drive, what matters is she got caught. That's the point of this thread.

Now you all may dismount your high horses.

Fck me, he can post a photo of an private individual but everyone is up in arms because of his posted name? He could have handled this much more discrete but he chose the crusade of trying to be a hero.

My point is that even though a number of people said he was being harsh by contacting her employer, and I pointed out what a hypocrite he was, he still carried on his little crusade with a follow up email.

100%. And I want to ask the OP if he has something against the company itself - I'm starting to think that there is a bit of a historical grudge here. Just a theory though.
 
I went back looking for the freaking motorite post.. Only to be shocked at the BS answer, why don't they say what has been what actions have been taken. Nosey Mybb'ers wants to know.

If a company insist on branding their vehicles they should be fully liable for the drivers actions and have their corporate image linked to the vehicle.
 
My two cents worth....

I use the embedded video below on my training sessions. What and who I train is not important right now, except it is related to the mobile industry. I personally don't do the texting and driving thing any more. I used to a long time ago, but the dangers are not just worth it.

@OP - thanks for the reporting! Chances are that she'll be a bit of the office joke for a few days, and that it will blow over quite soon. I cannot see her getting fired, especially not with the CCMA around. The photo is very flimsy evidence of just about nothing - for all that it depicts she could be sitting on a small-holding in the middle of the bush! You cannot even see tar on it. But maybe, just maybe, she'll be a bit more careful from now on.

What a utterly stupid question! No, but I will for sure punch anyone in the face taking photo's of me without my permission. I hope the OP will make a habit of posting photos of all the "crimes" he witness.
