The 2013 Transfer Rumours Thread

Lets not jump the gun, Sturridge blows hot and cold that's why he couldn't cut it at City and at Chelsea

He didn't get much game time at Chelsea, when he did he was forced to play out wide on the wing which is not his position at all. All to accommodate an undroppable Torres. At Bolton he was lethal as well, turning out to be just as good for us when he plays his natural position.

Heard on the Radio that United offered Madrid 64 million + a player for Ronaldo. If true I bet that player is Rooney

Errrr more like Nani - Rooney is valued at more than that

Why the hell would Real Madrid want Nani?

Aspas to Liverpool deal almost complete.
Well they arent having Rooney in a 65mil plus player deal - more like 50mil plus player then

What's up with Dzeko, would love to see him at another club. 14 goals with only 16 EPL starts for City.

He is 27, hitting his prime. I don't know. You've got a certain window in football, if it was me I wouldn't be spending it on the bench for city.

Whats his salary and will other teams pay it for him?

Not many teams can afford to pay the money he's getting at City unless he takes a pay cut

Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti has penned a new one-year contract extension with the Serie A club.

Zanetti, who turns 40 in August, has been at the San Siro since arriving from Argentine side Banfield in 1995.

The former Argentina international is currently out injured after snapping his Achilles tendon in April and is not expected to be fit until October at the earliest.

However, despite the setback, he is delighted to have committed himself to Inter until 2014 and cannot wait to return to action next season.

"First of all I'd like to thank the club for the faith they've shown in me," Zanetti told the club's official website.

"We spoke at length about my injury and we decided to do another year. They've again shown they believe in me and my passion for Inter. I hope I can pay back their affection on the pitch.

"I'd like to thank the many fans who have sent their love over the last few weeks, and they've done likewise with the team in the first few days of the season ticket campaign, showing they'll be with us next season.

"I'm doing everything I can to come back fit and healthy, and to be ready for the coach and my team-mates."

The new trend seems to be 'buy back' clauses. Real Madrid just bought back one of their [ex] promising right-backs that has now come good in the Bundesliga. Barcelona also have a buy back clause with one of the current Chelsea players (can't recall the dudes name atm). The value is based on appearances and decreases each year iirc.

Romeu. Isn't the clause that if Barca wants him they get first pick?

Yeah that's the dude. Yeah Barca can basically buy him back at a predetermined price if they want to. He hasn't exactly been that impressive during his time with Chelsea so I doubt they'll be triggering that clause.

Andre Schurlle is joining Chelsea.

Marko Marin version 2 then  :p

According to Cavani's mom (verbatim on skysports ), he is in talks with Man City. City have already spent more than £50 million on 2 players before the window has officially opened. :erm:
