The 2013 Transfer Rumours Thread

Aug - Wilshere will be joining Man City and Bendtner will be starting up front.

Wilshere could be a pretty special player if he could stay fit. City is the worst place for him. I really hope Arsenal don't lose him and he stays fit.

Why do United want another striker? I would have thought that out of all the Dortmund players, Gundogan or Bender would have been prime targets...

United don't need another striker unless Rooney goes.

The lad Gundogan looked fantastic in the Madrid semi

Rumours going around that SAF preparing for a bid to bring CR7 back to Old Trafford

If RM bids for Gareth Bale, this could clear the way for CR7's departure...

Is Rooney really going to leave United? Wish he comes to Arsenal.

Arsenal will never pay his enormous salary which last I heard is rumoured to be £220,000 a week. I see United will try to keep him at a reduced rate too.

There is talk about Fabregas making a return to the Arsenal

Talk of Wenger having a few bazillions to spend but before he does I'd like him to clear out some dross and lighten the wage bill.

Santos, Djourou, Chamakh, Bendtner, Denilson to name a few

Why would you want to get rid of Andre Santos? He's a boss :D

+1 but easier said than done. They have been trying to get rid of these players for a while. Arshavin too - don't think he'll sign a new contract, so he should leave on a free or retire. Is Park on loan at Sunderland, cos they need to be rid of him permanently.

I so love watching Fabregas and Song sit on the Barca bench. Idiots for leaving the Arsenal. Fabregas should have stayed with Arsenal until this season. Now would be the time for him to have gone to Barca and then dethrone Xavi at the start of the 2014/15 season.

Santos is welcome back ...as a volunteer mascot and nothing else. Park is playing for Celta Vigo reservers iirc. He can stay there. I remember saying that Fabregas joined Barca to play second fiddle to Xavi - it was pretty obvious that was Pep's plan. Vilanova seems to see him as a Messi backup though. Cesc is welcome back at Arsenal.

The chubby little Russian left Arsenal last season already imo. Hopefully this time round he actually um... leaves lol.

That's not really Fabregas' position. The defences in la liga are so weak, you could play Chamakh as a back up to Messi and he would score a hat full of goals too

Yeah I guess him playing out of position is the only way he was going to get game time. With Xavi and Iniesta fit and pretty much starting only match there was no way he was going to play in his favoured position.

LOL at Chamakh...

chamakh started so well.

The guy who scouted him should be sacked. He did start we'll, but look at the goals he scored. It was all basic tap ins and a few headers. He can't shoot for shyte. I said that in the first few months when we signed him. He is the most unstrikiest striker in the world.

He did score a goal in the Capital One (?) Cup from a semi-decent strike outside the box :D ...and that's about the only noteworthy contribution I remember him making. But +1 for the scout to get sacked. Then again Wenger did wait a season for him so as to sign him on a free transfer.
