Well, he did mention this week that he sees himself staying another 3 years at Chelsea...
If we had a coach that worked on a more holistic approach, he would bang them in more often...
Yeah, he would say that. He will probably earn way more at Chelsea than what Athletico can pay him.
Torres hasn't had a bad season to be fair, he has scored a good number of goals this season.

20 goals this season... not bad for a "flop".
Hopefully, whoever comes in has the team being more direct with their approach play. Watching Torres making run after run without receiving the ball does my head in :twisted:

Exactly my point. We have all these wonderfully creative players, surely it cannot be too hard to get them to provide better passes to the forwards? That Mata is our second highest goal scorer overall tells its own story...

You'll probably find that when Mata first joined Chelsea he looked to steup Torres who fluffed every chance so Mata turned around and said "**** this I'll score the goals myself!"

Pretty much. Once they ease up on that habit, and look for the runs of the forward more often, he will be able to carry the goalscoring burden as he should...
I don't even blame them completely- Chelsea, for too long now, have relied on midfielders (cough Lampard cough) to score goals for us...

May - Wenger: We've got money to spend. Looking at a lot of options to strengthen.
June - Wenger: We're looking for value and real quality players.
July - Wenger: We've got a big squad, maybe looking to add one or two.
Aug - Wenger: We've got a big squad with versatile players. We've got 2 options in each position. Did you know Vermaelen played CF for Brussels Preprimary School when he was 5. If I sign players I need to find a place to play them. Diaby is back from injury.

OMG, how could I forget the fact that we sell our best player/s each window. I honestly think I mentally blocked that part out. The mind works in mysterious ways.
On the other hand we don't have that many top players left. We'll probably lose a player like Koscielny. Paid 3 seasons worth of school fees to see him become a half decent defender only to sell him on.
Oh, that reminds me, I need to call my therapist and tell her that I'll be coming twice a week in June, July and August.
