Fruit generally has quite a few carbs. Only some of the berries are low and you should watch the intake on those as it's easy to go over.
I'm guilty in summer with watermelon. Nothing like a nice cold refreshing watermelon on a hot Durban summers day. But I switch it out from lunch to try and balance, to hot to eat a full meal anyway.
Watermelon is a very good source of vitamin C. It is also a good source of pantothenic acid, copper, biotin, potassium, vitamin A (in the form of carotenoids), vitamin B1, vitamin B6 and magnesium.

Watermelon has 10calories (or 40kj) in it per 100g. Of all the things you can eat, you can scoff this stuff down and not pick up next to nothing (except water weight). I wouldn't classify this as a guilty pleasure - more as an extremely healthy and low calorie snack.
True but hard to stop @ 100g of watermelonHowever, as per your points, going over won't do any major harm, especially as I use it to replace a midday meal to keep my daily carb intake low. Weekends meals are a shake or eggs, melon for lunch with odd snacks of cheese to stretch and a single meal for supper, heavy on the veg and some good protein. I'm also having some double cream yoghurt these days to increase my daily fat count and get in some good probiotics. ( Nutriday Double Cream plain is 4g sugars per 100g ). https://www.fatsecret.co.za/calories-nutrition/nutriday/double-cream-plain-yoghurt/100g
How many grams of carbs are you trying to stay under?
I'm prepping for a body building show, eat 6 meals a day, 2300 cals and still manage to stay around 160g carbs per day. Unless you're eating donuts and chocolates every day it really isn't that hard to limit carb intake while still eating whole food/proper meals.
