Anni Dewani shooter is guilty

I suppose this story won't die down until Shrien Dewani has had his day in court. What's the latest on that?
Anni Dewani's family will not celebrate the conviction of the man who pulled the trigger on her until their son-in-law, Shrien Dewani, is charged.
The family believes Dewani holds the key pieces of the puzzle.
The Cape Town High Court convicted Xolile Mngeni of robbery with aggravating circumstances, premeditated murder and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition yesterday.
Mngeni is the only South African to be tried for the murder after his co-accused, Mzwamadoda Qwabe, and taxi driver Zola Tongo turned state witnesses.
Anni was shot dead while on honeymoon with Shrien in Cape Town on November 13 2010 in a staged hijacking.
Tongo confessed that Shrien had offered him R15000 to find hitmen to kill Anni and that he had hired Qwabe and Mngeni to carry out the hit.
Qwabe testified that Mngeni shot Anni. Shrien has denied the allegations.
Speaking from Sweden after the judgment, Anni's father, Vinod Hindocha, said the family looked forward to a pending ruling by a UK court on Dewani's extradition to South Africa.
"It's good news but now we hope that the last person remaining will also [be tried in court] and that is Mr Dewani," said Hindocha.
"The biggest moment will be the judgment for him to travel to South Africa and face trial. After all he says he is not guilty, then why not," Hindocha said.
Dewani is being treated for severe depression and post-traumatic stress disorder in a psychiatric hospital. The UK court will rule whether he is fit to be extradited on December 3.
Judge Robert Henney found the state had proved its case against Mngeni beyond reasonable doubt and that Mngeni's version was "riddled with improbabilities, inconsistencies and untruths".
"The accused could barely avoid the avalanche of evidence proved by the state - it came crashing down on him," Henney said.
Mngeni's grandmother, Zanyiwe Mngeni, said: "He is not going to live there [in prison] forever, he is going to come back."
Mngeni invited journalists to "come to Polsmoor" prison where the is being held. Sentencing proceedings will begin tomorrow.
