The Asic thread

Heres the ducting. Cant tell you what a huge diffs it has made both to the noise factor and the heat just set up as it is. Add to this the egg-crate foam im going to use for noise dampening and I should be set.

So you have any pics of your miners as they currently stand? With the foam that is.

Hold the phone. I only saw this now. Are you currently driving two machines off of a single PSU? Is this interim, or you just going to run it like that?

Nah, there are 2x PSUs there. Stacked. That was a temporary arrangement.

I've not ended up using the foam just yet I'll post pics of the current (messy) setup with the ducting - they're now outputting to the ceiling void. I'm going to put the acoustic ducting on the intake fans as well shortly. What I really want is to have the cupboard doors closed and the foam on the inside of the cupboard doors to help dampen the noise... for that I have to add vents to the cupboard for intake.

Decided to point my L3 to mine XVG. It has been very up and down lately, figure I can make a quick few bucks with it.

What pool is that? Prohashing?

Using Multipool at the moment. I have a sizable balance there at the moment, makes sense to stick with it.
I would love to solo mine it, to be honest, even just to check it out. I believe the difficulty is still low enough for that to be viable, although probably just-just.

Edit: https://www.multipool.us/

Has it pegged as being 420% more profitable compared to LTC at the moment, although this is very much a moving target...

How do they payout? Similar to litecoinpool

How is that calculated? I see it popping up every now and then as the most profitable but 420%? Is that based on potential for future growth?

I think it's based on past 24hr average price performance, don't think it's predictive. It changes every so often between the various coins.

Still, I've seen it consistently be the most profitable Scrypt coin at any given time.

Pays to whatever XVG (or whatever coin) wallet address you give it, but it pays per currency, ie mining XVG will pay in XVG, LTC in LTC, etc. I don't care for the auto-switching, as this usually ends up in a lot of nothing, but it does work well though.

@srothman, so are you hodling or exchanging?
Also, please post L3+ settings for multipool.us when you have a mo? I'll add to the OP.
Seems their support is seriously lacking. The forum looks pretty bad.

You can be our guinea pig and keep us updated with 24 hours worth of mining :p

Holding for now, will drop some if it ever reaches $0.20, but maybe around 30% of my holding, the rest I'll HODL until I have more direction of what it's going to do.

As for the config:

https://www.multipool.us/dashboard/help/

That gives a nice little console for helping with the config for the various coin.

But in short:

Server: stratum+tcp://us.multipool.us:3340
Username: srothman.1 (It HAS to be that worker name, otherwise it won't work :D )
Password: x

Only thing that really changes it the port associated with each coin. 3340 mines XVG, 7777 mines Scrypt multipool, etc. etc.
