The Audi Thread

Left to go fetch kids and heard a horrible loud metallic scraping sound. Pulled over and called Audi Assist.
Get the car to Audi Airport and true as fck it does not make the noise anymore.
They checked everything over anyway and found no problems anywhere. They did pickup marks under the car from something the klapped it as sometime and suspected it was something stuck under the car. Did not make sense but all checked out and was fine so all good.
They were very good though. In case it was something serious they already had an A4 waiting for me to leave in while they did repairs. Thankfully no repairs necessary.

And to top it off, I walked away with...

Back in their offices I think they are all saying "this guy is just an attention seeker".

Surely it would have made the same sound when the car was collected if it was over something?

Don't go plugging funny cables into your A5 :p

Its legit dude. Their genuine six hundred and fifty fkn rand cable for - niks :)

Lol, nice one... Geesus... Give everyone on this thread a heartache why don't you?

Sorry dude. You must know how heartbreaking it was to see my cab on the back of a truck.

Lol. I asked them the salesman of he ever swore me under his breath.

He reckons he keeps calling other customer Mr Smit because he deals with me so much my name is stuck in his head.
As many here know - I am anal about my stuff. It must be perfect.
It's booked in next Thu for a checkup. Not happy with a few things. Little things, but not perfect is not perfect.

Exactly what I said. But with it not making the sound anymore I had no argument. Just hope it does not happen while in the Berg for a week from next Fri.

*** man Mike jy maak my skrik!

Soz man. Kakked myself too.

Oh, while I was at Audi Airport I went to visit my old A6. Sooooo sexy still.

I asked the salesman who was driving it over the weekend cause I was getting notifications from the nav device (remember I though it had been sold). He said he took it home for the weekend and drove most of JHB in it.

Swap the A5 for the new A6. Doooo it!

The A6 wouldn't have broken down ;)

What I thought :)

Odd enough, I had to use Audi Assist in the first month I had my second A6. Odd enough again - also collecting kids from school.
Head gasket popped. Audi Assist fixed it on the spot at the school and I never had an issue with the car again. Nix nada zilch zero. Car was solid as a rock for the next 5.5 years and 90,000kms.

:D

Us Audi boys almost lost a lot of credibility!

Yip, Rouxnator was just chomping at the bit to have his 2 cents worth at our expense!

:o

Saved by Audi Airport and the tinsel rattling around in Mike's head while he goes round those corners at 150kmh!! :p

Fck dude, that Audi deserved to be sold privately! You erred bro...

At least you her a few weeks. This my first picture of my car - probably around 2 hours later ...

Power steering pipe or something came off - left a huge power steering fluid stain on my moms drive way which is still there today ;) She's wasn't happy ....

But I literally got the car at 17:00 and drove straight to her house to show off my new toy - and it happened there. Managed to limp home a few KM and phoned the salesman that night 'You know the car you sold me a few hours ago? Well it's leaking something and needs to be towed!'

EDIT : Also the part wasn't in SA - so they needed to order which took 2 - 3 weeks. They agreed after 1 week to repair temporary which they don't ever do. Replace only.

Lucky they gave me another Volvo in that week
