The Audi Thread

anybody have experience of the A4 convertible from around 2006/2007? My wife has fallen in love wiht the thing, and I just dont know much about the convertibles...
choice between a 1.8 a4 convertible, 2006....or a 2003 bmw 330ci convertible. Both are immaculate.

If pricing is similar and so is mileage, I'd go with the newer of the two

Thanks sand :)

Got her this morning - but was extremely sad to see my S4 go :( This looks almost identical inside though, so something I don't know ... hehe

Congrats as per Facebook. Looks gorgeous. I was under the impression it was the facelift...

The A5 is an A4, that's why the interior is the same. :p

The car was ordered in 2011 and took months to arrive. It is a January 2012

Yeah, you going to take a significant knock on performance but I would imagine the A5 to be a lot more comfortable to drive, more spacious interior (for driver), S-tronic more practical than manual. Doesn't it have a lot more standard kit than the S4? Will be a lot more economical to run too! Will age better, more of a future proof design! It's a solid purchase! Price was outstanding too!

Don't forget to post some pics of the interior!!

EDIT: You can take it for software remapping, will get a significant boost in performance, anything from 15%-20% increase, for about R10k...

They're both comfortable to drive, actually - but the S Tronic is smoother than me when changing gears ;)

Kit is pretty much the same on both, exceptt the A5 has B&O sound/Audi Music Interface and the S4 had Nappa Leather Sports electric seats. I'm expecting 3l/100km difference in fuel consumption - which is a bonus.

I rather not mod cars anymore :)

Anyone know the difference between Audi Symphony and Audi Concert radios?

This A5 with B&O, says Audi Concert on the radio - whereas the S4 had a Symphony, which I guessed was the standard. However, some people say the Symphony is good?

That B&O is awesome.
