I beleive those weren't possible until very recently.I'm surprised there hasn't been anything like a class action lawsuit in SA regarding the oil consumption on these engines.

So there is still hope for one.
My driver’s door handle seems to get jammed and doesn’t open without using the key, it happened 4/5 times over the past 3 days.
Anybody ever had this happening?
It's not electronic in any way is it?My driver’s door handle seems to get jammed and doesn’t open without using the key, it happened 4/5 times over the past 3 days.

Wonder if it could be like the one touch up down thing that indicates a dying battery.
Looks good, make sure the oil is the right brand and rating for the engine. Sometimes they use sup par oil to save money.
You might also want to check when the oil change is due on the gearbox.
The door lock/latch is a complete unit, it has little motors in it to operate the latch and lock. It could be the signal to it, like a bit of corrosion on the plug pins, or the motor has a dead segment on it then they replace the unit as there are no "serviceable parts" in it.The passenger door and boot open fine, it’s only the driver door.
Will leave it until I have time to go to Audi, it’s not that bad yet.

My 1st gear is not 100% so the mechanic mentioned it's fine for now (take it easy in 1st) but one day it will go kaput.
I don't know hey.The oil consumption issue imo
1. Our 95 octane is poor quality and in out heat cause premature detonation.
2. Hypereutectic piston used is brittle when you have premature detonation and cracks the piston ring lands.
3. Manufacturers map car for efficiency not safe running engines.
4. Emission standards force manufacturers to use (ref limiters that cuts fuel) Again running lean and making the engine Det.
Regarding point 1, the issue is present in the US and UK markets? Is their fuel quality also poor? The oil consumption issue imo

Considering you can buy 100+ octane at the pumps here in the UK, highly unlikely.Regarding point 1, the issue is present in the US and UK markets? Is their fuel quality also poor?
