The Bafana Bafana Thread

I had a feeling this would happen if we played well. Morocco were relying on the super stars and picking players based on status from the WC instead of form. Even the penalty should not have been taken by Hakimi. El Kaabi should have taken it.
All their star players have been playing poorly since the WC or injured; Ziyech, En-Neysri, Amrabat, Hakimi. Only big names who have been decent for their clubs are Aguerd and Saibari.

There were some very negative people on here who have suddenly gone quiet.

Come now, show your faces, it will be disingenuous to show up when Bafana lose. You all expected them to lose one way and never expected any win.

My critique was the coach, who is making me reconsider, he hasn't yet gotten there but is getting there surely. Then the defence, which is also getting there nervously. Lastly, the keeper, I am still not sold on Ronwen but he has produced one, two or three excellent saves.

Sometimes you have to give credit where it is due.

It is not over yet, we have a very tricky assignment against Cape Verde. I am definitely worried but at least the team is getting somewhere from the bad start.

Morocco was also very confrontational with the ref and linesman during the game. Even worse than what soccer players normally are.

Bad sportsmanship
That's how the North Africans roll, they literally bully the Ref and the opposition into winning, that's why I am so happy they have all been dumped out.

I've switched to the game twice, and both times seen SA lose the ball from a throw in through lack of skills. Not encouraging

Cape Verde is the better team, but in tournament football, the best teams do not always win so there is hope.
