I am rooting for Bafana to bounce back. They played well for the most part, something which they can build on.
 
Keet really disappointing.
Oupa Manyisa was tired again in the second half. Rantie :wtf:

With the performance they displayed yesterday, they can surely bounce back.

The defense has looked shaky for a while, and that shuffle didn't help at all. Algeria walked though us for the 2nd goal.

We played well for the most part, but the last 20 minutes was all Algeria. I'm not sure what the temperature was, but some of our forwards looked very tired in the 2nd half. Algeria are the best team in Africa, and they showed it. While this has made it much harder to get out of the group, I am still hopeful. CAF uses head to head, and not goal difference, so a huge blow out winn won't help.
 
Sure we missed our chances. It happens. But we leaked 3 goals. You cant missfire upfront and leak at the back and say we did ok

Considering other Bafana performances this one was much better in terms of organisation in the middle of the park and chances created. Yes, 3 goals were let in but the team was not outplayed save for the last 15 or so mins and the first 5. There are many positives to be taken from the game and a lot more lessons of course

It looks like the matches against Mali and Cameroon will not count for ranking points. I'm not sure what the problem with the matches was. Maybe FIFA is taking extremely long to process to the match, or maybe SAFA stuffed up again.

The matches aren't listed on Mali or Cameroon's results either. Thanks to Thiago89 from Wikipedia for picking this up.

Staring XI vs Senegal:

Jackson Mabokgwane, Anele Ngcongca, Thabo Matlaba, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Eric Mathoho, Dean Furman (C), Andile Jali, Oupa Manyisa, Thuso Phala, Sibusiso Vilakazi, Tokelo Rantie

Keet is dropped for Mabokgwane, and Mathoho comes in for the injured Coetzee.

Kickoff is at 9pm tonight, with coverage on SS4 and SABC1.

If we lose, we are almost certain to be eliminated. We would not control if we could advance. At best we could beat Ghana, and go to 3 points. If Algeria beat or drew to Senegal, we would be out. If Senegal won, SA, Ghana and Algeria would all be on 3 points. On head to head, the 3 teams each have 1 win and 1 loss. It would then go to goal difference, where we are behind.
 
It looks promising in deed. We just need to keep the ball down and avoid giving these guys unnecessary free-kicks.
