The Banting/LCHF Thread

You can get rid of it again. I am in week 2 and determined not to fall off the wagon. Loving being free from Mcadonalds again and only eating my first meal of the day at 2pm.

After several months of being off, missing suger like a motherfarther
I dont care for the sugar as long as I can have my Coke Zero.

It did not slow down my loss while on the wagon.

The biggest pain in my ass is my SO lost her job and cant really afford healthy food at the moment.

A lot of Bread/Rice/Pasta with meals lol.

Holding thumbs for change.

Anyone enjoy a bit of peanut butter? Black cat sugar free peanut butter is an awesome snack. Tablespoon goes a long way and peanuts only have 7g of carbs per 100g ( almonds have 10g per 100g)

I know Noakes and co say avoid peanuts, but I can't understand why.

That was my saviour at work when the hunger pains or cravings kicked in when I 1st started lchf.

donner... is the cheese just baked like that? like... give some instructions god damnit!
Jip. You can even blast them in the microwave for 1min. (I prefer regular oven version)

Just take shredded Cheddar. Spread them thinly(IMPORTANT!!) in circles on parchment PAPER or silicone baking mat and bake at 180 for about 5min till edges start browning.

Let them cool a few seconds and then hang them over a kitchen utensil handle so that they cool and harden into taco shells. They will be crispy and set within 60 seconds.

Can also make them many different sizes for different purposes. Like small discs for scooping salsa and avo.

Can put them into a cup to cool so that they form little bowls. Fill with avo bacon and whatever you like.

I better get feedback and pics of your attempt.

Because peanuts aren't nuts, they contain between 10 to 15% carbs, easy to wolf down a lot quickly and they're high in omega 6

I love garlicy, spicy stuff. So my mince or chicken will almost always contain those.

Then avo and a salsa is always a nice addition. And of course just for some colour and crunch some crispy lettuce or coleslaw.

Sauce of choice.

I just normally get mine at dischem, seems to have the best price overall
Thanks.

Mind you. Still have a R1000 dischem Voucher I bought with ebucks. Might just spend a big portion of that on coconut oil and flaxseed powder there.
