Had an awesome meal at John Dory's tonight as I alluded to above. Their caulimash was brilliant and soaked up all of the juices from the spicy chorizo+onion sauce.

Added a Top Up of calamari for the hell of it.
Good to see it's getting easier to go out!

I've been having a craving for muesli/granola and honey lately :(

I think I need to make a tray of bacon wrapped Jalapeno poppers or something to distract myself

Week 6 for us.

Week 1 -2.4kg
Week 2 -2.16kg
Week 3 +1.72kg
Week 4 +2.52kg
Week 5 -3.14kg
Week 6 -3.26
Total lost = 6.72kg

Not sure what happened in weeks 3 & 4, as I gained almost everything I lost and I did not crook. If it wasn't for those two weeks, I would have lost 10kg or more.
:(

Anyways, we tried this over the weekend:

Wasn't as good as I hoped, but we didn't have all of the spices and it still tasted decent.
We used baby marrow in the place of the zucchini.

I think your scale is playing you some tricks :D
Anyway, same thing here. After 2 weeks, 4.5kg gone!
Last week-end (Week 3 and a half), 1.8 back again :(

To all banters here, is this something normal?

But this won't taste like candy like the normal supermarket kind! :D Seriously, before I started eating LCHF, I used to pour out handfuls to snack on everytime I walked into the kitchen. That stuff was scary addictive for me.

Anyhow, they didn't have jalapenos when I went to go buy groceries, so I just grabbed whatever these chilis are:

(If you follow the weight loss thread, this will be a double post - but I feel the sugar message is worth sharing)

Attended my dad's 60th birthday party on Saturday evening. Drank close to half a bottle of whiskey and was vrot as a result. Food wise, I picked only low carb from the snack platters.

Sunday morning I had a hangover of death. Managed to get a fried breakfast down and started to feel a bit more human until a stomach bug kicked in along with fever and ugly stuff top and bottom....

Yesterday I just managed to pop into the office before heading home as I was really weak. On the way home I stopped at a Spar and actually had 2x Energade lite 500ml's in my hand but could not go through with the purchase (sugar). Took a Fanta Zero instead as I needed some flavour in my mouth after 24hrs of water only....

This morning I feel much much better. I made it through gastro without using placebo sugar drinks to feel better and I dropped 2kg's - down to 103 now but that could go up as my body recovers.

What I learnt is how brainwashed we are - upset tummy and the "drink flat coke" or energade thoughts come flooding in. I survived without any of that junk!

I had the same when I got very drunk 2 weeks ago on more than a bottle of Jameson's. Also dropped like 2kg, went up a little, and then went back down again...

No idea about the book, but there's some really nice looking stuff on website, definitely going to bookmark it and try them out some time.

I guess I won't get it. :)
But thanks anyway. I decided to hide the scale for the next 6 weeks.

I feel like I should record my weight everyday and have a nice graphic at the end like swift412, but these ups and downs tend to kill my vibe. So yeah! No more weighing until...

Your weight can vary by at least one kilo during the day.

Best is to weigh yourself about once week.

On Fridays, right after you get up, except if you go to Witbank first.

Witbank :D:D:D I laughed really hard.
Well, I used to do that everyday, in the morning, after Witbank :)D) and naked. Just before I dress up to go to work.
