The Banting/LCHF Thread

I miss my beer very much, but i will again have some when targets are met. Cauliflower base pizza is awesome. Meatza is great, bad is a bit too much meat. I prefer the cauliflower

Just before I started I ordered some craft beer. Now those bottles are staring at me and they are pleading to be opened.

Will try the cauliflower base. Thanks Fanie.

Went and bought a bottle of MCT oil from our local Dischem. (last one they had) Will try this instead of coconut oil.

You must start MCT slowly. If you dive into two tablespoons you might end up with cramping, and disaster pants.

This ^^^

I now have a logical explanation for my "interesting" weekend

First cup BPC on Saturday I added 2 tablespoons MCT, on Sunday luckily just one. I did experience cramps and a good few toilet runs / ended this morning. I really should read up more on stuff before I chug it down lol

Ok so I sterted with the MCT this morning and I still don't feel that extra energy boost. I'm using 3x Espresso Intenso capsules; 1 tbs unsalted butter and 1 tbs MCT.

I had my coffee at 7am.

Weighed this morning after the holiday and 1.5kg up which could just be water weight so not stressed.

Back to the constipation query: I don't eat any veg as i dislike them immensely. I do include nuts daily. Have no had any trouble with movements in months.

My man! I hate veggies too! :D :D

We need to share some eating plans... how do you get past eating veg?

Eggs! A human can survive on eggs alone if you eat enough of them.

Typical day's food:

8am Nespresso with cream
11am brunch consisting of leftover braai meat or whatever meat I had the night before. Also cheese and 3-4 seed crackers (fibre!) from the RMR recipe with thick slab of butter on top. Sometimes I will also chow half a handful of almond nuts for fibre if I don't have the crackers.
7pm supper: some kind of meat (chicken with skin or fatty steak fried in butter or hamburger patties with bacon) and will include at least 2 eggs scrambled or fried.

Sometimes, for brunch, I will have fatty biltong or cabanossi instead of leftover meat. I make sure I have high fat meat so as not to overdo the protein.

Works for me :)

I hate veggies - always found them and fruit to be a waste of time as I ALWAYS have to force them down.

After reading "The Big Fat Surprise", I have enough scientific proof that we can survive well without force feeding veggies. Think of eskimo's - they live on fatty meat and blood and none are mal-nourished (this sentence can cause the same k@k as religion or politics).

Are you eating fresh meat? Raw meat? Fermented meat? Fatty meat? Blood? Liver, Kidneys, Brain, etc?

Sirloin & a chicken breast will not cut it.

1st week:
Myself and I : 2.4kg
Wife: 1.3kg
Daughter: 0.6kg

We did not have a great week ito eating correctly, but still lost some weight.
