The Banting/LCHF Thread

I really miss bread, it was quite a staple in my "old" eating. I tried cloud bread and it wasn't everything that I hoped it would be( maybe bad prep), anyway I found this website with low carb bread recipes

http://authoritynutrition.com/15-low-carb-bread-recipes/

I imported the almond bread recipe into MFP and it came out as 25g carb for the loaf( hopefully the matched the ingredients correctly)

I'm going to give it a go and see how it turns out

So a 6 week check in

Started at 78.8, weigh in this morning says 70,6

Measurement around the stomach was 104cm, today 98cm

I'm very close to my goal weight (70) but no where near what I wanted the measurement around my stomach to be

I'm going to keep going at the risk of becoming underweight, just to get more cms of my stomach

Well done.

Thanks bud

I used an app just now to get a feeling for my body fat percentage, just inputted my waist measurement and weight and it came out that I have 25.61% body fat

Not sure if that's completely correct though, according to the app, that measurement falls into the obese category. Think I'm going to visit a local gym sometime this week to get a proper body fat measurement done

What's the first one ? And of course recipe please

No idea what to call it. Bacon mince roll?? Well, whatever, here we go...

1) Layout streaky bacon next to each other on some foil (while be rolling it closed in the foil later). I put 8 pieces next to each other, overlapping a little, and then again 8 above overlapping.
2) Take about 500g of mince, I spiced it with just salt and pepper, but I guess you can use whatever.
3) Take the mince and build a thin layer on top of the bacon.

4) Add toppings. You can obviously add whatever you like. I used a base of white cheddar, mushrooms, green pepper and feta.

5) Use the foil to help roll the bacon over into a roll and then close the foil.

6) You can then probably put it in the oven, or put it on the fire. I had mine on the braai of course. About an hour on the braai, with some proper heat applied.

The other one I made (this one had cream cheese instead of the white cheddar and the feta)
