If you are a big Coffee fan then why are you drinking Ricoffee?
Give Jacobs a try - that stuff is awesome![]()
Look for ingredients that end in “ose” or “tose” or “dextrin”. These are sugars that will raise a diabetic’s blood sugar higher than table sugar and the food manufacturers do not have to tell you!
I find Jacobs weak. Try douwe egberts.
+1, Jacobs taste fake to me. Douwe is goooood.
Lucky, we only have a kettle and fridge here. Kettle is barely working.
As mentioned above, I feel great. Not tired in the afternoons and bounce out of bed 6 hours after closing the eyes. Also feeling a lot more alert generally. Not sure if it's the diet, or the cycling. Whatever it is, it's working out and I love them both.
So.... Be honest.
When you reached your healthy goal. Every how many months do you cheat?
I have the flu. Everything tastes horrible. And sometimes you just need a comfort. I have not succumb yet. I struggled way to much to get over my sugar cravings.
So let me hear it. Or when are you more likely to cheat?
Luckily the bossman is also a coffee drinker... so he makes sure we have some proper stuff.
Just get a plunger for work, it's a bit of extra work, but the coffee is soooooo much better.
I also keep some cream in the fridge as well, for myself.... makes coffee without sugar nice and creamy... and for some reason, less bitter.
Coffee percolating... Office smells heavenly.

Don't do it! But if you do decide to cheat, try not to eat too much sugar at once because your stomach will be seriously unhappy with the sudden change in diet that it's no longer used to. Last time I had a(n unplanned) cheat meal it ended with cramps, bloating, diarrhea and all those other lovely stomach ailments, while the sudden blood sugar spike and subsequent crash left me feeling dizzy, nauseous and light headed. And when that was over, I had to suffer through keto flu. Not worth it all.
For planned cheat meals, I usually slowly reintroduce some carbs (but not sugar) for December. Between Christmas, end of year parties, birthday parties (including my own), it's just too much effort to try and stay under 20 or 30g per day and stay in ketosis. I rather just increase my limit to about about 100g instead of having to go in and out of ketosis all the time. That being said I've dropped past my goal weight so I'm eating LCHF for the health benefits and not the weight loss, so it's not a big deal if I gain 2 or 3kg during that time.
Yeah that put me off a sugar cheat forever that did. When I have a cheat now, it's usually carbs not sugar.
Like I said, the real stuff I have at home, filter coffee, at work I don't do the buying, just the consumption.
This means, I'll be bringing my own coffee to work from now on, just a shame there's no filter machine here. Will have to buy a plunger or something.
So.... Be honest.

Comments like this make me think I'm doing something wrong. My wife and I have not been following the banting stuff 100% My wife tends to just make stuff up as each day comes, but it's working.
5 April I was 94.5kg. My first goal was 85kg which I hit day before yesterday. This morning was 85.2kg so just a little more and goal complete.

But when I go to bed, I try to think about every single thing I put into my mouth, and there's really nothing (or almost nothing) anti-banting. I COMPLETELY cut out sugar, I eat only veggies + meat and chew a piece of hard cheese or almonds. That's basically my daily eating.
Maybe cycling did play a big role in the weight loss? I'm also thinking exercising now...
