powdered MCT, interesting

did some googling, couldn't find much info, but it seems to be very water soluble and flavour and odourless so you could just mix it with water, or for some flavour try full cream milk

I think the challenge is around concentration and so far I haven't really looked for that kind of info, I would suggest try a couple of days with half a teaspoon and then go for a full teaspoon, or see if you can find info on equivalence between liquid and powdered form
Apparently it's perfect for mixing in shakes etc but some sites warn it's higher in carbs than the oil, but like you say info is scarce.

Lived666 suggestion is getting more attractive by the minute..

This might be the best place to ask: I want to try cauliflower pizza bases - but they need to be able to get into a pizza oven. I guess they get pre-baked in a regular oven, then taken out, covered in topping and finished in the pizza oven. Anyone done it like this / good recipe for the base? Thx.

After tonight my answer would be to forget about the meatza and forget about a cauliflower base.

Fathead Base is the bomb. First time I tried it tonight and I am hooked.

Very easy and very quick so turn on the oven before you start. Otherwise you'll wait for the oven to get to temp like I did.

Melt 1 and half Cup of mozzarella cheese in the microwave for about 90sec. Stir every 30sec.

Let it cool for about a minute(don't want to cook the egg and don't want to burn your hands).
Then add 1 whole egg and 3/4 Cup of almond flour. I made my own flour by blitzing raw blanched almonds in the food processor for 30sec.

Kneed and mix everything by hand until a nice smooth ball forms. Takes about a minute.
I added slightly more flour as I saw mine was not as stiff. I added some Italian herbs and garlic at this stage as well.

Then you can either stretch it out by hand or, as I did, roll it out into a pizza Base between two greased parchment papers.

Bake for about 8min at 220 degrees until crust gets nice golden brown. Have a look every few minutes and poke it with a fork if it forms bubbles.

Take it out and do your pizza thing. Mine was Tomato paste, herbs, salami, mushrooms and cheese. Pop it back in the oven until cheese is melted and all bubbly and golden on top.

I kid you not. This was the closest thing to an actual pizza base when it comes to the way it looks and handles. Except it tastes even better.

Base recipe also calls for a dollop of cream cheese when you add the flour and egg. I totally forgot and it made no difference.

Next one I'll do will have a slightly thicker crust.

Thanks for sharing, had not heard of it until now ....... going to be making these asap!

I saw mentions of fathead pizzas more and more on r/keto and Googled it yesterday.

Seemed easy enough and I've been wanting a good pizza for ages now.

But wife hates meatza and I can't get the cauliflower bases nice and crispy enough without them falling apart. And to be honest it is so much effort getting all the moisture out.

I'll be making this weekly for sure.

Promise you that they are so good even my non banting friends will go back for seconds.

Here is the bottom of the base.

Sorry for the poor exposure. Forgot that my G4 was in manual mode and before I could take another shot the wife devoured the last piece of evidence.

That pizza looks EPIC.

Conclusions

This trial-level meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials comparing LoCHO diets with LoFAT diets in strictly adherent populations demonstrates that each diet was associated with significant weight loss and reduction in predicted risk of ASCVD events. However, LoCHO diet was associated with modest but significantly greater improvements in weight loss and predicted ASCVD risk in studies from 8 weeks to 24 months in duration. These results suggest that future evaluations of dietary guidelines should consider low carbohydrate diets as effective and safe intervention for weight management in the overweight and obese, although long-term effects require further investigation.

Haven't taken a close look yet...

Anybody else try that fathead pizza yet?

Made it again tonight. And leaving the crust a bit thicker makes it even better. Loving the crunch during each bite.

Today I also decided to mix in some chilli flakes into the crust before baking. Lovely little kick to it.

Topped with bacon feta and pineapple tonight.

"I'm not really hungry" said the wife....

... then proceeds to eat 5 of the 8 slices.

Really hope one of you guys try it soon.

I want to know if I'm rightfully praising this as the best thing since I was told I can and should have bacon for breakfast, lunch and dinner...
