The Banting/LCHF Thread

Wife is trying to buy me a shirt for my 20th Re-union on Friday. We're still not sure about sizes but she bought home a Woolies 44 and was way too big, so going to find a 42.

T-shirts were 5XL+ , now L
Formal shirts same
Jeans, 44, new formal pants are 43. ( old was 60+ )

Awesome man! Keep it up and be proud!

We did some clothing reconciliation recently and sponsored all our old clothing (5 refuse bags worth) to charity.
Was amazed to see the change.

I went from XXL/XL shirts to slim fit Large and in some cuts medium. Pants 42 to 32 and 30 in some brands.
Wife went from medium to Xsmall shirts. And size 12 to size 6 and 8 in pants.

Another dramatic size down! Personally I enjoy the wins that don't take place on the scale, that's the stuff that your SO and others are noticing and let's not be coy, it feels good man.

I couldn't help myself, I had a slice of woolies chocolate cake over the weekend. It tasted lovely but I'm back on the LCHF diet.
Will be having mince curry with pumpkin, bacon and mozzarella tonight.

Dropped another 1.2kg - Yay, finally broke a 3.5 week weight stall. I did measure my belly and it was going down smoothly.

So lost 11.2 KG in exactly 3 months. Was 95kg on March 6th now 83.8kg on June 6th

I love the progress - well done.

I am starting a lady friend on this diet as well. She is currently 100kg. Will post her progress.

BTW - diet worked wonders for me - I used to weigh 137kg, now I am 89kg and I feel awesome - been helping some of my friends with their weight loss goals - with varying degrees of success - some people are not committed, of cos!

Wanting to upload my "peanut bread" but damn images not working.

Got a loaf waiting for me at home, looks nice.

Quick and easy low carb scone recipe:

200g almond flour
3 eggs
3 tablespoons melted butter
3 tablespoons cream
1 teaspoon baking power
pinch of salt
cup or two of grated cheese (I use gouda, but cheddar should also work)

1. Mix eggs, butter and cream together
2. Add almond flour, salt and baking power and mix
3. Mix in grated cheese.
4. Spoon into muffin pan
5. Bake at 160 degrees for 20min

Makes about 6 scones.

Lol, was someones recipe earlier, 3 Eggs, 3 tblsp peanut butter and teaspoon of baking powder. 30 mins in oven.

How was the taste? Mine tasted why too much of peanut butter to be really enjoyed.
