The Banting/LCHF Thread

@180 for 30mins , origional recipes ( 3 x Eggs, 3 x tbls PB and 1 tsp baking )

Thought of going fanies way but worried about carbs as I stick to 20-25 per day

i was really just concerned to get taller slices. Made myself a braai broodjie over the weekend with a braai, was good. But just had the two slices which hardly add up to much. Also, don't you yum yum you chump :p

I tried that bread thing. It's got good texture but is pretty flavourless. Next time I'd add more salt and maybe some melted butter.
This bread is the stuff. I've only made the microwaved bun version. Works a charm. Had it as buns for hamburgers, and also just a nice lunch with some guacamole on top. Still have to try the bigger oven version. Got some unsweetened peanut butter from Dischem which I'm using.

In other news, tonight's dinner almost done. Professor Noakes' Asian pork belly from his Real Meal Revolution book. Nom Nom.

lol yah, probably stressing over nothing. I worked out a loaf is like 6-8 carbs and I eat like a slice or 2 which is probably less than half a carb.

can you guys please post that recipe again for the peanut butter bread ... cant seem to find it when i backtrack.

Thank you for the recipe "3 Eggs, 3 tblsp peanut butter and teaspoon of baking powder. 30 mins in oven" attempt no. 1

In-laws were around during the experiment - needless to say my loaf was pulverized.

I wonder how it would work as a pizza base? Little or no baking powder to stop it from rising.

Once again inspired by you guys

Sadly my cauli rice didn't last family went through it like a hot knife through butter.

I buy the 1l bottles of cream these days! love cream

So for breakfast I have 100g double thick yoghurt with woolworths carb clever cocao nibs and nuts and with about 80g of fresh strawberry with 70ml of fresh cream! yum!

Mini-review: the Banting Revolution brand low carb goods - I tried the toaster bread and the lime cordial.

The toaster bread is very eggy and not really my thing but I think that many others might enjoy it. It's kind of like French toast. Cost per loaf: R59.

The lime cordial is an unmitigated disaster. Bitter and foul. Nothing good can come of this thing. The only good part is that it was only R24.

Honeydew 1L between R30 - R39. Sometimes if you luck, R20. Roast veggies and cream are AWESOME!

I hate that bread as well. Soggy and eggy.

As for lime cordial... I usually rather buy the no sugar cooldrink from Woolies.

Who brought that great idea of the peanut butter bread into this thread?

He/someone needs to post it in here: https://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/894758-The-Great-Mybroadband-Book-of-Recipies!

Let's build the library fellas!

Great idea, I saw the thread but... can some of the posters not add unnecessary fluff to the thread and their opinion of this and that?

Can it rather only JUST be this:
