The sauerkraut tasted very fatty. And I am not hungry at all now. Been on my feet for 12 hours

So I am in hopfgarten austrial for skiing for 2 weeks. Keeping banting is going to be hard. I have already found sugar free drinks. I also found natural full fat yoghurt but I haven't found double thick yoghurt yet

Jissus the price of good butter has gone through the roof lately. Any recommendations?

not just that but the 'cheaper' butter has been fiddled with. Goes all weird and white and frothy, someone reckoned it's got water in it

A post from me, and you know what that means: Lindt is on special again :p R90 for 3 at Woolies (90% and 99% excluded). There also seems to be a new dark chocolate, 78%. Nutrtional info per 100g: 23g carbs (18g of which sugar), 47g fat (29g saturated, 0.2g trans), 9.2g protein, 15.2g fibre, 582kcal/2408kJ. I find it noticeably sweeter than the 85%.

In non-chocolate related news, also at Woolies, 250g portabellini mushrooms R30 for 2, and the olive oil is R120 for 1 liter. My local Food Lovers Market has 1 liter coconut oil for R60 but I'm not sure if that's a national special for all the branches.

Haven't seen decently priced butter or any good specials on meat recently.

fanie, I hope you have thrown away your Simply Chicken Vienna stash!

I doubt this will be very popular but has anyone tried LCHFV where "V" stand for vegetarian?

I'm trying to get my head around it but it's pretty much 'eats shoots and leaves' ...I can't fathom LCHF without truckloads of bacon and biltong.

Anyone doing it?

Yeah. Not going to give up my pork neck steaks or eisbeins. Nope. Never.

But I can see fat macros being done easily with nuts, cheese and avo. Protein macros might be a bit of challenge but if you are not working out regularly it probably won't be an issue.
