I've been trying to find more information about midnight deals. Some are straight forward, but some are a bit tricky or unclear to me. So perhaps the mybroadband community can give some clarity on it.

I know Afrihost also has some deals, feel free to add or scrutinise the details above. I'm interested in finding an ISP that provides midnight data uncapped, or where the midnight data includes a daily renewal cycle. I thought Vodacom worked by renewing the midnight data daily, but it's not clear: Night Owl

Night owl is a fixed monthly limit. So if you have a 1 GB night owl, for example, and use it all one on the first night of the month then its finished until next month. The Telkom one is pretty sweet. For a month you can comfortably download 100 GB during the night surfer period.

Would be great if one can find a mobile deal that allows for daily midnight data to renew daily. For example, if Vodacom allowed the 1GB (any time data) with 1GB to renew every midnight until the peak data expires, which is usually 30 days or until the peak data is depleted.

Cell C Giga200 (50+150) R999 prepaid deal valid for one year.
It gives plenty of night data 12.5GB/R83 per month on average.
Is there a better deal? :)

What happens when you use the whole 12.5Gb in one day?

You can use the whole 50GB during one day. The rest 150GB you can use only during night, but you can use all in one night if you like. Alternatively you can use the whole 200GB during one night (if you want to waste more expensive daylight data).

It is better deal than any monthly allocation scheme in which you lose unused portion. Use all data in one year or in 3 months - no matter - when you finish, buy another Giga200.

Oh that's a good deal actually when you do some math...
I guess I have to get myself a Cell-ci Sim card as since where I'm staying now I can't get a Telkon line installed here for my ADSL.
Does it works with pay as you go sim too? Or you strictly need to have a contract?

Get prepaid SIM card R1 (a new one with blue USIM is already LTE enabled) and check coverage.
Once it is tested working you can throw in R999. Giga200 is a prepaid SIM pack with preloaded bundle 50+150GB.

If you prefer contract, there is a new deal similar to above 5+15GB per month. With contract you get LTE MiFi device. Also see higher volume contracts: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/806747-Massive-Cell-C-mobile-data-price-cuts
