Not like lead, maybe like iron or steel. The climb up doesn't compare to the drop down at 5:30.

Edit: The drop happened a few minutes after this news:

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/11/21/tet...edly-steals-30-million-of-digital-tokens.html

Can anyone explain how a decentralised token can be hacked like this??
Was reading someone's opinion on Bitfinex and how they use Tether:
https://medium.com/@bitfinexed/the-...-hail-mary-to-retain-in-business-10b9d989359f

So was that drop a sell-off of the stolen tokens? Though they would have had to exchange them for something and that something would likely have spiked...

Its not the 'tokens' that get hacked, its wallets, exchanges etc, due to users weak passwords, ****ty coding etc etc etc, like a bank account being 'hacked', its not the 'rand' that got hacked

had some strange activity on my altcointrader account today

Got a mail to reset password (Legit mail)
few hours later - a failed attempt to login to my account

Luckily i moved all my BTC, I do however have all my forked crypto there as well as some alts

Be careful guys

2FA is enabled as well

Mine too. Seems a bot has been posting email addresses to the reset password page to see who has / doesn't have an altcointrader account. I've just changed my email address on AltcoinTrader by adding +xxxxx to the bit before @gmail.com - that way it's only used in one place (on AltcoinTrader) - e.g. [email protected]

Trezor now allows you to claim Bitcoin Gold via the beta wallet.

Somebody is very confident at this price to buy 5 bitcoins Screenshot_2017-11-21-23-45-21-503_co.bitx.android.wallet.png
And I'm nervous about spending 1% of that amount at this price

Not necessarily 1 person, orders get stacked.

They get stacked in the order book but that screenshot is from executed trades. It would get executed as soon as someone takes it off the order book which means they would have also paid that 1% taker fee (or at those volumes they're probably on a lower taker fee by now). Or am I mistaken?

Is it possible to alter the range of the graphs on the Luno app? Eg. The depth graph ranges from R112k to R165k on my phone. That's way too much so I can't see any detail. The graph only has a R5k range on a browser which is way better.

Hold your phone closer to your face :p

So someone in this thread once said it's never a bad time to buy BTC.

Any thoughts?

Bitcoin futures trading is kicking off in December with CME, and JP Morgan announced it might provide access to that. SA is likely about to be downgraded further into junk by the ratings agencies on Friday. Sounds like it could be a good time to buy. There will always be risk. But don't waste 1% on taker fees. Put in a buy order a bit lower than the current price.
