Do you guys have some money always on Luno so you can buy quickly? For fast trades this is useless.

That's the only way to trade IMO. Decide how much you have to play with, put it all into one or more exchanges, and trade away.

In other news...

Altcointrader and Luno are offering the best prices for BTC according to coinmarketcap.com... or the worst if you're buying :D

I used to have a bit lying there ready for the next dip. Ended up buying ETH coins with it. I was expecting a big correction to come this week after what happened, so figured I'd load my wallet just in case. It's odd that nothing's reflected because usually its in my luno wallet within 5-10mins after my FNB EFT.

I'm keen to start setting up weekly bank transfers which will supposedly iron out dips and spikes if you buy-in with "pocket money" savings at a constant but steady rate.

Im not in Norway right now and won't be until January, so it'll be interesting to see what happens to my HODL'ed coins when I get back.

It seems people are saying the days of owning a full bitcoin from scratch is beyond affordable to the average buyer, so it'll be interesting to see how the 1BTC HODL'ers progress.

Yes, I have like 90% of my original btc hodled in wallets, rest I 'play' with, always have low buy orders, for sudden sell offs even when sleeping etc(eg, yesterday luno fup triggered some of my 150k-160k buys from 177k, pitty it didn't hit my 140k:()

Why deposit on a Saturday in the first place? It's quicker to wait till Monday morning and do it first thing.

My deposits from FNB has never taken longer than 10 mins, including late at night over weekends.

I deposited money on Saturday morning into Luno and was available 10min later (std bank to std bank)
AltcoinTrader takes around 4 hours no matter when I deposit

It seems as std to std is instant. Also never had to wait more than 10min no matter the time of the deposit

Official LUNO support told me (few pages back) that if u deposit money on a sat/sun funds will only reflect latest 12am Tuesday morning.

This happened to me. I missed the R95k train and had to buy @R100k. In hindsight not the worst thing that could happen, but I was still irritated.

Yep they told that to me too, but I went ahead and deposited anyway. It reflected within 10 min, it was FNB to FNB though.
