You mean profit taking?

No, I mean the panic selling, walls of red dumping 20k, even though btc price is still climbing

No 'predicting' luno movements, so much panic selling and buying yesterday(and will continue today). $14k = R245k, $15k = R230k etc, one person sells, everyone sells, one person buys, everyone buys, doesn't matter what btc price is actually doing

It's so interesting, at the moment BTC can't be a store of value (too volatile) or a currency (transaction times and fees are too dam high) and yet it manages to break barrier after barrier, and even create huge disparities between major exchanges. All while there are a handful of alts that do literally everything better.

It makes for some great trading though as there's potential to flip multiple times a day for huge profit. Just have to be careful not to buy in too high. I've already made about 15% from the 3 dumps since midnight.

Out of curiosity, do you trade with a set amount of BTC? Like buying/selling 0.25 all the time?

Yeah, great for me too:D... can hardly keep up with my low buys before they trigger, just painful to watch cos I most of that is all dumping with fees and noobs buying high and selling low etc when they don't need to do anything

I just punch in a random number below 0.5.

I know there are several bots running which use fixed numbers. Though in times like this they are probably deactivated. I've seen one bot that places multiple 0.090000 orders when things are a little calmer and if there is a spread.

Just out of curiosity, those of you guys that have D3 antminers that's collecting dust. Did you guys try them out after the nicehash hack? Any idea what the profitibilty is like now?

Funny enough seems worse not better

Claimed upcoming forks, repost from FB crypt page:

Upcoming #Bitcoin Hard Forks:
Super Bitcoin (498888 block)
Bitcoin Platinum (500000 block)
Bitcoin Uranium (unknown)
Bitcoin Cash Plus (501407 block)
Bitcoin Silver (unknown)

After the failures of Bitpay, 21, ChangeTip and many others, Bitcoin was finally able to find its killer application: Hard Forks!

All of these will definitely push Bitcoin price further up!

Quick question, if you had free electricity and about R30k odd to spend on mining what would you mine and with what hardware would you mine?

Lol, if that's true then surely people must also realise the EPIC bubble being formed. Price is basically being propped up by these "free" coins coming out the whole time

Regardless of whether BTC is a bubble how would a fork prop up it's price? If anything it should detract from it.
