So many altcoins. Looking at the prices I think if you want to retire early you'd need to put in a lot of money in altcoins which you think has potential and hold for at least a year.

Bitcoin is the gold of crypto. Doesn't matter if it serves a purpose.

this definition of bitcoin as 'gold' is shakey at best...

if you think of real gold - it actually has some uses like jewlery and circuit boards etc.

let me see you put a bitcoin around you neck or on your finger:crylaugh:

All quite arbitrary tho.
If all the gold were to dry up next year we'd use some other material in electronics and use some other metal for jewelry.
Gold has little inherent value...a cow has more value in that it might sustain you through a harsh winter.

This is why gold is gold, it can't dry up in the way you suggest but can be reused over and over.

It has unique properties which has stood the test of time.

Ounces, oops. 1 bar then.

I admire your optimism, but not even close:

"The standard gold bar held and traded internationally by central banks and bullion dealers is the Good Delivery bar with a 400 oz (troy-ounce) (12.4 kg or 438.9 ounces) nominal weight."

Small bar then. No expert when it comes to gold pricing. Point being, if you invested early you can sell your BTC and buy gold and hang it around your neck, if that is what you prefer.
could would should

we all heard that story before
Not really. This not a missed opportunity.

Excellent description of the difference between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash, worth a watch:

Thanks

Eish, I knew they had fudged up the chain difficulty to try scam miners onboard by making it look more profitable, but sheesh, at one point 50+ blocks an hour, and already 110k coins ahead of where it should be and math should allow, and only going to inflate in future... hell, thats already 2 years worth of mining ahead of time, what a mess

As per today's coinmarketcap, bcash has 111,750 more coins in circulation than bitcoin...
