Looks like there's a good chance it will go back down to the 13.5k range if it breaks through 14.5k.

luno is behaving rather calm compared to the last time we had big red candles on the daily...

I think we will see some carnage on Luno once that R200k falls. Right now people are playing it safe and not selling because the wall will hold the Luno price if the USD price recovers in the next hour or so. But if the USD price goes down a little more the arbitragers are going to destroy that wall.

Edit: 14.2k now. That wall is going down.

Anybody looking for a Ledger Nano S? I finally received my second one (from Ledger directly) today. Still sealed. I'm in CT, willing to ship at your cost and risk.

Price is R1350 - pretty much what I paid (R1200 for ledger and shipping, Sars charged me another R150 today.)

PM'd you

Anyone know why CoinMarketCap didn't give any prior notice of removing South Korean rates, prompting this selloff?

https://www.financemagnates.com/cry...-south-korean-crypto-prices-sparking-selloff/

I can understand why they did it:
In South Korea, that premium is now close to 50%, which is absolutely unacceptable. No one can take advantage of these arbitrage opportunities either, thus the prices will not be driven down in the near future. Using Korean exchanges is subject to very strict rules and requirements, which makes it unattractive to Western users.
https://themerkle.com/coinmarketcap-excludes-south-korean-prices-total-market-cap-drops-by-50bn/

But why no prior notice - insider trading?

So who's still HODLing BTC and who has converted it all to Alts since Dec?

I've HODL'd my BTC but really starting to lose faith in it's blockchain capabilities and can't see the lightning network being implemented any time too soon... What is your guy's thoughts?

Ive converted 1/3rd into altcoins, mostly ETH which has always been stable and lately climbing with promise and the tech actually works so I dont look at it as a sh§tcoin. That 1/3rd is also clean profit from my initial investment - so if I lost all faith in BTC I could potentially still cash it out and just run my altcoin on "free money".

I think bitcoin is still the flagship crypto and will likely be the newcomer coin of choice to get into the game, so if nothing else than for investment, it'll still be popular...as digital gold moreso than actual transaction power etc.

Holding. As someone noted earlier in this thread, just when you think BTC is losing its shine, it will increase.

Also got some ETH as well.

Not going to invest in Ripple as I don't believe it is a "true" crypto (no decentralization). Also the people behind it sound dodgy AF.

HODLing. I went on a quick holiday on the 2nd of Jan and got back yesterday. During this period I didn't check the value of my portfolio. When I checked last night it had risen by 37.5% despite BTC making up 39% of my portfolio :)

I should go away more often!!!
