Heard the hype and decided to try this bitcoin thing out and I bought at 178 000

Pretty dumb of me to not even look at the charts tbh.

Someone please tell me the last half of the graph is the beginning of a floor and it will shoot up from there?

It also seems like the lowest price is around 12-4 am so isn't it best to buy then and sell when it shoots up during the day?

Any thoughts on a good mix between Ethereum and Bitcoin? I'm currently 50/50 in each. Ehtereum seems like the better tech, but bitcoin has been performing better these past few days.

Good to have 50/50, eth has good tech and btc is the OG of crypto's so will always go up!

ETH is really solid - the smart contract feature is amazing and will have many uses in the future.

Also it is one of the more established alt-coins out there - it's not as random as other cryptos about when it goes up & down (less volatility as well).

Look you're very unlikely to get a $200 increase in ETH in a day - it's more of a steady growth coin - but just as true, extremely unlikely to go down $200 in a day as well.

I'm keeping ETH as a long-term hold. If you want to trade, BTC is a better option.

Patients, very early days still, check back in a few weeks, you'll be saying thank god I got it so cheap:D

Everything is at all time highs. Probably exactly the wrong time to be buying, but then again, people said that when BTC was $1k, $3k, $5k etc. Although it is worth noting that at those levels there were large pullbacks, sometimes lasting for months before the next new level. So if you buy high now and it drops, don't panic, just hold.

I'm assuming thats % split.. but hope you mean actual qty of each.

Why ETC and not ETH?

Ag, indeed, ETH. (I always do that, no idea why. Maybe my inner-self is hinting I should get some ETC). And no, with only 20 XRP, might as well not bother :)

Bitcoin is gold stripped bare of atoms.
The physical world is so last century.
Get with the times.

too true
in ancient times , btc woud have been the then gold stripped bare of derivatives , contracts , shorting , financial analysts, dead economists, and diverse financial prostitutes
now it has wings

Not happy with 10+ minute delays on Luno to access my funds after stopping a buy order.

I pulled my buy order 10 minutes ago and now I don't have access to my money anymore. It my was money my available in my wallet but after stopping the buy it is "pending" in my wallet. A couple months savings. This is serious nonsense from Luno.
