Nope...as far as I can tell, the 330D has been discontinued. BMW seems to fill the "higher performance" diesel gap with their new "e" hybrid models, if one were to look at the G20 LCI models, the new 5 and facelift X5 models, etc.

But even so, the 330D has not been available for quite a while, long before the facelift of last year. Which is quite sad, because it's a very balanced model in my opinion.

BMW SA, for some reason, is not too keen to supply some of the higher performance diesel models here, I wonder what the reason could be. We are missing out on the M340d, the X3 M40d (we did have this model prior to the facelift though), etc.

They would probably blame our fuel quality

Thought so too, but the X3 3-litre 6 cyl diesel is still part of the lineup, even after the facelift, X5/X7 3 litre diesel also available here throughout the years, and that’s the same engine that the 330d used.

And the pre-facelift X3 had the higher output version of the same engine here in the M40d, same as found in the M340d, so don’t think fuel quantity can be an issue now if it wasn’t in the past

nope. X5 has a 3d, 4d and 5d

Potential sales numbers are too low to make it profitable. On a personal note, I would like to give Adam in accounting a kick in the nut sack for brining the BMW GT to SA, and not more Estate models.

I was also thinking that it was probably a numbers game. Sedans don't sell well anymore, it seems, and neither do estates.

Dammit, Adam!

Potential sales numbers, or low demand, might be the only other reasonable explanation, I agree.

Maybe there are many factors which the average guy on the street do not know about - I am no boffin on this, but for the love of me, I still cannot understand why they would not make certain models available locally. Sure, if they order, say, a 100 320d's to go into the dealership network, no problem, they will all sell. Maybe not the same with 330d's, but why not then just get a handful? Or fair enough, don't order any to stand around on dealership floors, but at least just facilitate an order from a customer if he wants one?

Would you rather get an E46 320d Sport or an E90 320d non-Sport? Both are in good nick.
Person I still prefer the E46 better built car than the E90 - and still looks cool today
whats the mileage difference between the 2?

Difference of R50K. The E90 I can get it down to R110K and the E46 at R60K.
I would personally take the E46 and do some preventive maintenance on it and its a really good car of all the cars I ever owned I missed that car the most

Heavily considering to go look at this.

Radio does not turn on, seat belt does not go back , fuel daily not working.

But if it runs fine, I might pick it up as project
