The BMW 320d Fanboy Thread

Very sad day, had to let go of my 320D today after almost 2 years. interest rate hikes over the past 2 years and keeping up with the maintenance schedule has really been tough but so worth it, she really was the car of dreams - I get why there is 320D fanboy thread. I live in Jhb and flew down to CPT in 2021 to purchase. Dealer paid for my ticket and i drove her up - 13 hour trip and it was the best up until today, not a tyre put wrong. Sold her to Weelee, got a decent offer, they settled and gave me some extra bucks as well. Here she was 2 years ago, I fetched her from dealer in Blouberg and took her on a drive to Cape Point.

Dam sorry man, beautiful pic. The price/costs is always something that dissuades me from buying a luxury car.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the model year and what were your costs for the 2 years?

Went off m/plan in Jan this year. Brakes pads front and rear was R 7000 in July (BMW Northcliff). Gearbox service with ZF Sachs R4500 Feb(2022). 4 new runflats in July 10500 (Mintys) - wouldn't have done this, had i known that i was getting rid of it so soon after. An oil service was also coming up next month - guessing would've been about 4k -5k.

Schit, sorry to hear man. That is a chunk of moolah in a short space of time.

That's in Gauteng, if I follow correctly. I am in Cape Town.
Not too keen on the distance deals.

im so grim with my 20d right now, well, its not the cars fault, some unknown object jumped through my headlight on the highway this weekend, and literal cold chills for the price of a replacement headlight ( thank "insert deity name here" for insurance)
