So updateSo yesterday I did a thing just to test for myself, i am going to overhaul the fuel system as part of my next preventative maintenance. I have the new fuel filter, called up a guy i know to test each injectors. Anyway back to the story, fill at the Total and they diesel seems to be pretty good. So yesterday while I was at Midas I got a 750ml of Castrol 2T oil. for legal purposes this is just my 2 cents on what happened and I am in no way recommending everyone try this
Stopped at the Total chucked in about 300ml 2T oil ( mineral oil only not that synthec stuff) fulled the tank it took 50 litres I guess there was still about 23 in the tank. Golden rule about diesels is never let them run of diesel. So after filling up car is normal i guess it would be as there is still the old fuel in the lines. As I start driving I start noticing the gentle get easier, I dont hear the injectors clank away engine also feels smoother no vibrations etc. So I did about 60km after filling up I noticed that the torque is now more instant but car feels very very slightly slower, it can still put balls the wall and run like stink. Checked the exhaust and its not has black as it was
like I said it was just something I wanted to try for myself to prove or disprove the theory, would I do it again, I guess when the engine get noisy again I will , car feel very much more like a luxury sedan now in terms of refinement - Remember 2 stroke mineral oil ash free - The car reminds me of the S class diesel drive now, my uncle had alot of those S class Diesels SO its easy to compare
I have been doing like 3 weeks of research before doing this. Prior to doing this I have been using Shield Diesel injection cleaner and I used the Liquo Moly Diesel additive once before.
Before the hater come at me with all their negative comments and "Oh you gonna destroy your fuel system" like I said part of my preventative maintenance now is the fuel system I have a new filter and going to have the injectors serviced. There has been a scientific report put out by SASOL South Africa that it does nothing and our fuel meets standards , I suspect the garage owners are tampering with the fuel mixture prevously I should fill at a Caltex that claim to be the cheapest in the west the never drove that great then I move to the Total up the road a few cents more but the car drove night and day difference.
It that tank of diesel has finish I filled up the tank with the usual Total I use up the road. I noticed that the car rattles less is more refined, goes like stink as it always did the tank that had the two stroke mixture definitely held back some power . Just the roughness has been smoothen out. I will do the treatment in about 6 months again
